Praying for Peace in The Holy Land

EMEU calls all brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. This can have a two-fold impact. First and foremost God will answer prayer when His people unite. Secondly, as the rank and file of Evangelicals pray for peace EMEU, being close to the church in the Middle East, can help them understand that those who truly support Israel should be urging leaders to curtail their deadly incursions into the Gaza Strip, end its economic blockade and resume negotiations with the Palestinian Authority. There must be a voice that offers more than praise, as Israel pursues policies that are harmful to itself, the Palestinians and the United States.

“The most acute need of our age is for global-minded people who think the world-thought, do the world-deed, and pray the world-prayer.”

Frank Laubach, Prayer: The Mightiest Force in the World

Join us in prayer for the peace of Jerusalem:

“May those who love you be secure.
May there be peace within your walls
And security within your citadels.”
For the sake of my brothers and friends,
I will say, “peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your prosperity.

Psalm 122:6-123:1 (NIV)
